1月23日（金）に、オーストラリア・シドニーにあるインターナショナル・グラマー・スクール（IGS）から来校した4名の交換留学生の送別式を行いました。とても楽しい会となり、4名の生徒それぞれが日本語で送別スピーチをしてくれました。最後はビンゴ大会と全員での写真撮影で締めくくりました。

アイザック、コナー、ジュード、ルカと過ごした3週間は本当に素晴らしい時間でした。4名は好奇心旺盛で前向きな姿勢で、多くの友達を作り、OIHで充実した経験をしてくれました。奈良への校外学習や大阪歴史博物館の見学も楽しんでいたようで、日本語での授業や書道を含むすべての授業に一生懸命取り組んでいました。

日本での滞在を楽しんでくれていたことを願うとともに、今後の学校生活と日本語学習でのさらなる活躍を願っています。来月には本校の交換留学生をIGSに派遣する予定であり、これからも長年にわたり、この実りある交流を続けていけることを楽しみにしています。ありがとうございます。

また、交換留学生を温かく受け入れてくださったホストファミリーの皆さまにも、心より感謝申し上げます。皆さまの温かいおもてなしと多大なご協力のおかげで、留学生たちは日本で快適かつ有意義な時間を過ごすことができました。本当にありがとうございました。

On Friday, January 23, we held the Farewell Ceremony for the four exchange students from International Grammar School in Sydney, Australia. It was a fun event, and the four students each gave a nice Japanese farewell speech. We closed it off with a bingo game and photos with everyone.

It was a wonderful three weeks with Isaac, Connor, Jude, and Luca, and their positive, curious attitude helped them make many friends and have a great experience at OIH. They seem to enjoy the field trips to Nara and Osaka History Museum, and they tried their best in all their classes, including Japanese classes and even calligraphy.

We hope they enjoyed their stay as much as we did, and we wish them all the best in their school life and Japanese studies going forward. We look forward to sending our students to stay with them next month, and we hope to continue this fruitful exchange with IGS for many years to come.

We also would like to give our appreciation to the host families for opening their homes to the exchange students. Thanks to your generous welcome and kind efforts, they we able to have a comfortable and meaningful experience in Japan. Thank you very much!
